Wequiock Elementary School is hosting a final celebration on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Staff, students, families, and community members are invited to wander through Wequiock and reminisce.
Light refreshments will be served.
At 12:00 p.m. a photo will be taken of all current and former staff and students in attendance.
In 1957, Wequiock Elementary School opened on Route 1/Gibson Road.
Wequiock was a consolidation of three small rural school districts: Ridge View, the Mount Mae School, and Benderville.
Wequiock joined the Green Bay Area Public School District in 1965, and in 2018, was renamed Wequiock Elementary School Children’s Center for Environmental Science.
For the 2024-25 school year, Wequiock will be consolidated with Red Smith School (4K-8), which Wequiock feeds into for grades 6-8.
